Senior Staff FPGA Hardware Engineer. As a Senior Staff FPGA Hardware Engineer you will work on designing and maintaining FPGA applications which are at the heart of Sunrise Telecom’s handheld and portable test instruments. In this position you will be a part of the design team understanding customer’s requirements, participating in the system design, working closely with software developers and board designers with the ultimate goal of creating great products. Your FPGA designs should conform to the product requirements, industry standards, be reusable and maintainable.

The candidate must have:

• 10+ years experience developing and maintaining complex FPGAs for Telecom
• 3+ years experience of board design
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (SONET/SDH, OTN, Ethernet, FC ...)
• Proficiency with VHDL or Verilog
• Experience with newest Xilinx and Altera devices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• BSEE required
